Jefferson County Engineering Firms List Shows Strong Growth

A new list published by Jefferson County Business Legends shows that the engineering industry in the county is experiencing strong growth. The list, which is ranked by the number of employees active on retirement plans listed on the company’s Form 5500 2021 filing with the IRS, shows that several firms saw significant growth in the past year.

At the top of the list is Baseline Engineering Corp., which had 72 employees on retirement plans in 2021, up from 57 in 2020. This represents a growth of 26.32%. Wilson Water Group, LLC, was the second-fastest growing firm, with its number of employees on retirement plans increasing by 28.57% from 7 to 9.

Other firms that saw significant growth in the past year include Sherpa 6, Inc. (58.9%), Goodbee & Associates, Inc. (35.71%), Eagle Environmental Consulting, Inc. (30.0%), Maxson Engineering (46.43%), Barber-Nichols Inc. (54.25%), Martin/Martin Inc. (296), Phased Right Inc. (59.63%), Ayala Engineering Consulting, LLC (800.0%), M-E Engineers, Inc. (208), and Higgins & Associates, Inc. (40.0%).

The strong growth in the engineering industry in Jefferson County is a sign of the health of the local economy.
