Lakewood Tops Jeffco for New Business Incorporations YTD

Since the start of 2024, Lakewood has led the way in Jefferson County, registering the highest number of new business incorporations. The city recorded 985 new businesses, according to recent reports.

Arvada and Littleton followed closely, reporting 828 and 741 new incorporations, respectively. Golden recorded 358 new businesses while Wheat Ridge welcomed 228. Other cities, including Evergreen and Broomfield, saw a significant increase in new businesses, with 210 and 176 formations, respectively.

The city of Denver introduced 165 new businesses, closely followed by Morrison, which saw 129 new incorporations. Westminster rounded out the list with a total of 99 new businesses.

Conifer, Edgewater, and Pine also reported considerable numbers, with 70, 40, and 29 new businesses set up in each city respectively.

Most of the newly-incorporated businesses across Jeffco were Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), totaling 3,686. Additionally, there were 297 Corporations and 97 Non-Profits formed during this period.
