Out of the 24 companies featured, 13 reported a net profit in 2023 while 11 experienced a net loss, reflecting a mix of financial outcomes across various sectors.
Leading the rankings is Molson Coors Beverage Co., based in Golden, which rebounded from a $175.3 million net loss in fiscal year 2022 to a $956.4 million net income in 2023, underscoring its market strength.
Following closely are Ball Corp. and Trimble Inc., both based in Westminster, securing the second and third positions respectively. Ball Corp., a major player in the manufacturing industry, achieved a net income of $707 million. Trimble Inc., representing the software and technology sector, reported a net income of $311.3 million.
Other top performers include Vail Resorts Inc. in the recreational industry, Gogo Inc. from the software and technology sector, and Energy Fuels Inc., a prominent figure in utilities, mining, oil and gas. These companies demonstrated strong financial performances with net incomes exceeding $99.8 million.
Westminster-based ARCA Biopharma Inc., ranked No. 19 on the list with a net loss of $4.9 million in 2023, is in the process of merging with Oruka Therapeutics Inc., based in Waltham, Mass. The deal is expected to close by the third quarter of fiscal year 2024.
