Lakewood paces Jeffco for new business filings YTD

Based on the latest data available from the Colorado Secretary of State’s office, the City of Lakewood is home to the most new businesses incorporated in Jefferson County in 2024 with 1,699 entries, followed by Arvada with 1,536 and Littleton with 1,237.

Moreover, cities like Golden and Wheat Ridge have also made their mark with 654 and 394 records, respectively. It’s noteworthy that Evergreen, Denver, and Broomfield are not far behind, their tallies standing at 341, 294, and 288, respectively.

At the lower end of the record count, amongst others, are Morrison, Westminster, and Conifer with 212, 155, and 127 recorded new businesses, respectively. Some towns including Edgewater and Pine have recorded less than a hundred fresh enterprises, with 68 and 46 respectively. And then, there are places like Kittredge, Indian Hills, Idledale, and Buffalo Creek with less than 10 entries each.

A total of 7,111 new businesses have been incorporated in the Jeffco year-to-date.
