Gogo Expands Connectivity for 18,000 Aircraft

Gogo Business Aviation’s dealers have contracted to complete 25 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for the Gogo Galileo HDX, reflecting increased interest across various aircraft makes and models.

An STC is an FAA-approved document that permits modifications to an aircraft’s original design, ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards. The STCs will enable broadband inflight connectivity for more than 18,000 aircraft globally, many of which previously lacked such access.

The STCs, supported by Gogo’s dealer network across North America, Europe and South America, will include a range of airframes from super-light jets to ultra-long-range large-cabin aircraft, all scheduled for completion in 2025. The airframes covered by the contracts include:

  • Bombardier Challenger 300 series
  • Bombardier Challenger 600 series
  • Bombardier Global Express series
  • Embraer Legacy 450/500
  • Embraer Legacy 600/650
  • Embraer Praetor 500/600

Gogo anticipates further growth in its STC portfolio in the upcoming weeks and is currently in discussions with various business aviation aircraft manufacturers regarding aftermarket STCs and service bulletins. “The exceptional response from our dealer network is a testament to the strong demand for Gogo Galileo in the industry,” said Sergio Aguirre, president and COO for Gogo.
