Community Medical Services Opens Lakewood Clinic

Community Medical Services (CMS) has announced the opening of three new locations just before the holidays, continuing its rapid expansion in the field of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and behavioral health services.

New clinics are set to open in Lakewood, Colo., and Akron, Ohio, along with a mobile unit in Kingman, Ariz. The launch of the mobile unit aims to increase access to treatment services for individuals dealing with behavioral health and substance use disorders in rural communities in Northern Arizona, which often face long drives to receive care.

The Lakewood clinic will address a community severely impacted by the overdose crisis, becoming the fifth clinic in Colorado opened by CMS since July, following locations in Aurora, Englewood, Greenwood Village and Westminster.

“Expanding our services during the holiday season underscores our commitment to delivering hope and support to those who need it most,” said Chris Flowers, COO of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Community Medical Services. “We recognize the importance of accessibility and are dedicated to bridging gaps in care, especially in underserved communities.”

Key features of the new locations include:

  • Lakewood Clinic: Extended hours, medication-assisted treatment, and counseling on demand.
  • Akron Clinic: MOUD treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and individual therapy.
  • Kingman Mobile Unit: Flexible scheduling, MAT services, and coordination with local healthcare providers.
