Natural Grocers will open its latest store in Waco, Texas, on, Feb. 19. This location marks Lakewood-based Natural Grocers’ 25th store in Texas, situated at 601 N. Valley Mills Drive, Waco, TX 76710.
The grand opening celebration will feature special giveaways, discounts, and vendor samples. The day’s events will begin at 8:15 AM with a $2,500 donation presentation to Shepherd’s Heart, the local food bank partner, followed by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Doors will open at 8:27 AM for customers to enjoy the shopping experience.
“We are honored to be the first family-operated, national natural and organic grocer in Waco,” said Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing at Natural Grocers.
Natural Grocers has been serving communities with organic and natural options since 1955. The Waco store will include sustainable building features, high product standards, and provide a wide range of natural and organic products, the company said.
In addition to supporting the Waco community through its store, Natural Grocers will partner with Shepherd’s Heart to support local hunger relief efforts. The store will contribute five cents to the food pantry for every shopping trip where customers use their own bags.
Shepherd’s Heart has served over 80,000 families this year and received significant community support. The donation from Natural Grocers is expected to contribute the equivalent of over 200,000 meals for families in need.
