Medical Assistant School Opens Lakewood Campus

Denver Medical Assistant School has rolled out a new location in Lakewood. Beginning Spring 2025, the school will offer an 18-week medical assistant program with in-person, hands-on training in a real medical office.

Located at 255 Union Blvd. in Lakewood, the school aims to prepare aspiring health care workers with the skills and certification needed to become medical assistants. The curriculum is designed to ensure students graduate debt-free within 18 weeks, as they participate in onsite, hands-on labs through a local health care partner clinic. The program culminates with an 80-hour externship where students gain real-world experience under the guidance of experienced medical professionals in Denver.

To enhance accessibility, Denver Medical Assistant School of Lakewood provides flexible payment options. Students can opt to pay in full or select from various payment plans, including custom plans tailored to individual budgets and needs.

The program covers essential skills in anatomy and physiology, neurology, health care ethics and phlebotomy, as well as patient care tasks such as intake, vital signs and medication management. Additionally, students will receive training in administrative skills, including billing and coding, maintaining electronic medical records and office management.

“We’re excited to bring a new medical assistant school to Lakewood, providing students with a career-focused education to meet the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals,” said Chris Lofton, CEO at Zollege, which operates Denver Medical Assistant School.

Graduates will be eligible for employment in various outpatient, clinical, hospital or research facilities within their community, the company said.
