
CPI Card Group Inc. (Nasdaq: PMTS), a Littleton payments technology company, has launched Web Push Provisioning (WPP), allowing card issuers to connect payment cards with cardholders’ digital wallets more efficiently.
With WPP, card issuers can issue payment credentials to a cardholder’s digital wallet through a simple button click on their website. This functionality simplifies the process by integrating directly with the cardholder’s wallet, providing an alternative to relying solely on mobile apps.
The new feature expands onboarding options, enabling issuers to offer multiple implementation choices for cardholders. This allows users to access and use their digital card instantly while waiting for their physical card to arrive.
WPP enhances functionality for card issuers, serving customers who open new accounts or request replacement cards. Cardholders can also choose to provision multiple devices during the process, bringing issuers closer to providing a seamless digital experience for tech-savvy users.
