
The Jefferson County R-1 School District has released its list of high schools ranked by the size of their graduating class for the Class of 2025, highlighting shifts in student populations and staffing across the district.
Leading the list is Chatfield High School in Littleton, which tops the ranking with 472 expected graduates. Close behind are Arvada West High School, with 468 graduates, and Ralston Valley Senior High School in Arvada, which will see 447 students cross the stage.
Columbine High School, also in Littleton, ranks fourth with 420 graduates, followed by Lakewood High School with 412 and Golden High School with 347.
The district also noted some significant changes in school operations. Warren Tech in Lakewood experienced a dramatic shift in its student-to-teacher ratio, increasing by 300%—from one to four students per teacher—compared to the previous academic year.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Academy Secondary in Broomfield reported notable growth, with a 149.35% increase in full-time equivalent teaching staff and a 56.4% rise in student enrollment, signaling expanding demand and resources.
As the Class of 2025 approaches graduation, these figures illustrate the evolving educational landscape within Jefferson County, reflecting trends in school size, staffing, and student body changes.
