At the Arvada City Council meeting on May 6, the City Council approved a contract with Don Wick to serve as the city’s next city manager. Wick’s appointment becomes effective May 17. He currently serves as Arvada’s deputy city manager.
As city manager, Wick will report directly to the City Council and will be responsible for advancing the city’s strategic initiatives across five key areas: safe community, organizational and service effectiveness, vibrant community and neighborhoods, community and economic development, and infrastructure.
Linda Haley, who has served as interim city manager for the past nine months, will return to her role as deputy city manager. The city will begin recruitment for the now-vacant deputy city manager position in the near future.
