
COLUMBUS, GA (May 20, 2025) – The Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of Jansen Tidmore as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Tidmore leaves the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation, where he has served as president and CEO since 2020.

Tidmore brings over a decade of experience in collaborative business leadership and private sector growth strategies as he steps into this role, coinciding with the Chamber’s 180th year of service to the Columbus business community. A native of Dothan, Alabama, Tidmore has extensive experience in business and community revitalization, having held leadership roles across Alabama, South Carolina, and Colorado. His appointment reflects a commitment to business-driven growth, innovation, and collaboration in Georgia’s second-largest city.

Throughout his career, Tidmore has been instrumental in driving over $12 billion in capital investment and creating more than 15,000 jobs in the communities he has served. His approach emphasizes the idea that access to quality jobs is essential for a healthy community.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Tidmore was the President & CEO of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation (Jeffco EDC) in Colorado, where he led the integration of the West Metro Chamber and Leadership Jeffco, fostering a more unified voice for business growth. He also held leadership positions with the Spartanburg Downtown Development Partnership and the Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority, focusing on downtown revitalization, entrepreneurship, and workforce development.
