Pinkard Construction has hired Eric Kellstrom as senior superintendent. Kellstrom joins the company after a successful field management career with two large national construction firms in the Denver area.
“We are ecstatic to add Eric’s great construction background and strong leadership skills to our field management team,” said Tom Alford, COO of Lakewood-based Pinkard. “Eric is a strong field performer with a proven history fostering relationships with subcontractors, clients and fellow team members. He will be an important influence on our ability to move into new job markets and excel in providing quality, safety, and strong budget and schedule control to future projects.”
Kellstrom holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami (Ohio) University and began his 25+-year career as a tract-home framer in Nebraska. He quickly progressed to a lead carpenter for custom homes in resort areas in Wyoming and later earned a master’s degree in construction management from Colorado State University. In his 17 years as a superintendent in the Denver metro area, he has managed projects ranging from $10 million to $600 million across various sectors including municipal, federal, high technology and health care.
As senior superintendent, Kellstrom will oversee large Pinkard projects, mentor younger colleagues and play a strategic role in securing new work. He identifies his strengths as building and maintaining relationships, collaborating with project teams, problem solving and effective communication.
