Gogo Inc. has added General (Ret.) Mike Minihan to its board of directors, effective July 2, 2025, expanding the board from eight to nine members. His appointment comes after Gogo’s acquisition of Satcom Direct and its entry into the military and government sector.
Oakleigh Thorne, Gogo’s CEO, stated that Minihan’s extensive experience in global air operations and connectivity strategy is essential for meeting the needs of the military market. Both Thorne and Minihan emphasized the importance of providing secure connectivity for allied forces.
Retired four-star U.S. Air Force General Minihan brings decades of leadership to his new advisory role with Broomfield-based Gogo. Over his 34-year military career, Minihan commanded at every level, ultimately serving as Commander of Air Mobility Command. Now serving on multiple boards and in advisory capacities, his strategic insight is seen as instrumental as Gogo looks to expand its military and government operations.
