
South Suburban Parks and Recreation in Littleton has appointed Andy Bass as its next executive director, effective Sept. 8, 2025. Bass was chosen for his extensive experience in leading parks and recreation departments, as well as serving in high-ranking municipal positions.
Most recently, Bass worked as the deputy city manager for the City of Chandler, Ariz., where he managed daily operations and oversaw multiple city departments. His responsibilities included special events, downtown development and various public services.
Bass has more than 15 years of leadership experience in parks and recreation, with 12 years in director-level roles. He has also held previous positions in the City of Reno, Nev., and other locations in Texas and Colorado. He holds a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional certification, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and a master’s degree in business administration.
