Ur-Energy Reports Production and Construction Progress

Ur-Energy provided operational and construction updates for the second quarter of 2025 at its uranium projects in Wyoming, including Lost Creek and Shirley Basin. Production at Lost Creek continues to improve, with the company packaging 112,033 pounds of uranium during the quarter, a 35% increase from the first quarter. The company shipped more than 105,000 pounds of uranium concentrate and reported a revenue of $10.4 million from selling 165,000 pounds of uranium at an average price of $63.20 per pound.

The wellfield flow rate at Lost Creek increased by approximately 27% during the quarter, reaching over 3,400 gallons per minute. The production team’s maintenance efforts have also enhanced product capture rates, and the company expects continued production growth throughout the summer.

At the Shirley Basin Project, Ur-Energy is progressing with construction efforts aimed at restarting uranium production. The Littleton company is refurbishing existing facilities and installing modern technology, with construction on schedule. The project benefits from existing infrastructure and a local workforce, allowing for a smoother operational setup, the company said. Initial uranium production is targeted for early 2026.

Additionally, Ur-Energy is expanding its exploration efforts in the Great Divide Basin, planning to explore new uranium targets in the area with a drilling rig mobilization expected in the third quarter.
