
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo., July 31, 2025 – The Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation has announced the appointment of Carrie Kelly as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, beginning mid-August. With over 15 years of leadership experience, Kelly has a strong background in community and economic development.
Kelly’s career includes significant roles across various sectors, where she has developed economic plans and advocated for policies that foster community growth and job creation. Her most recent position was Managing Director of the Site Selectors Guild, where she initiated high-impact programs and established key research partnerships. Previously, she served as Executive Director of the Arizona Association for Economic Development, significantly increasing membership and attracting substantial investments from major companies.
“Carrie brings a unique blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a passion for building collaborative communities,” said Tony Giarratano, board chair of Jeffco EDC. “Her leadership will be vital as Jeffco EDC continues to grow its reach and impact.”
Kelly expressed her excitement about Jeffco EDC’s integrated approach, which combines economic development with chamber initiatives and leadership programs. “This forward-thinking approach delivers sustainable, cross-sector impact,” said Kelly.
As Kelly prepares to take on her new responsibilities, Jeffco EDC highlights its achievements over the past five years, including substantial capital investment aimed at job alignment, a revitalized chamber with doubled membership, and a successful youth leadership program.
Founded in 1955, Jeffco EDC is Colorado’s oldest economic development organization, focusing on business retention, expansion, and attraction throughout Jefferson County.
