Ball Corp. Appoints New Chief Information Officer

Ball Corp. (NYSE: BALL) reported on July 30 that its board of directors has elected Edmund “Ted” Doering as the company’s new chief information officer (CIO).

Doering joins Ball with more than 30 years of experience in global IT leadership. He most recently served as executive vice president and CIO at Berry Global. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles including chief digital officer at Emerson Electric and CIO of Emerson Automation Solutions.

He succeeds Brian Gabbard, who will retire from Ball at the end of September.

The company highlighted Doering’s deep expertise in value creation, execution and enterprise risk management as critical assets for Ball’s continued digital and operational transformation.

Westminster-based Ball Corp. is a provider of sustainable aluminum packaging for beverage, personal care and household products. The company employs 16,000 people globally and reported net sales of $11.8 billion in 2024, following the divestiture of its aerospace business.
