Noodles & Co. Appoints New CEO

Noodles & Co. has promoted Joseph D. Christina to the role of president and chief executive officer, effective Aug. 31, 2025. Christina, the current president and chief operating officer, will succeed Drew Madsen, who is stepping down from the CEO position due to personal medical reasons but will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.

Jeff Jones, chairman of the board, expressed gratitude for Madsen’s leadership, stating, “On behalf of the entire Board, I want to thank Drew for his steady leadership and service.” Jones added that Madsen’s continued guidance on the board will be valuable as the company works on its brand revitalization efforts.

Christina said he is honored to take on the CEO role, noting the Broomfield company’s strong brand, unique menu and growth potential. He emphasized his commitment to operational excellence and enhancing menu offerings.

Christina has extensive experience in the restaurant industry, having held leadership positions at several establishments. His background includes roles at Burger King, Church’s Chicken and Tijuana Flats, where he focused on improving operations and expanding market presence.
