Eleven Jefferson County-based companies have earned national recognition on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list, a prestigious annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The companies were recognized for their impressive revenue growth between 2021 and 2024.
This year, a total of 117 Colorado companies made the list, highlighting the state’s resilience and entrepreneurial strength during a time of ongoing economic uncertainty.
Topping the list among Jeffco businesses is Birck Engineering, which claimed the No. 197 spot nationally with 1,967% revenue growth over three years. Headquartered in Littleton, Birck Engineering provides civil, structural, MEP and chemical engineering and design services. Founded in 2017 by Megan and John Birckhead, the firm has delivered projects nationwide and established a second office in Pittsburgh, PA.
In April 2025, Birck officially joined Bowman, a national professional services firm. The acqui-hire of Birck’s leadership and workforce expanded Bowman’s capabilities in oil and gas, ports and harbors, geospatial services and construction support.

To be eligible for the 2025 Inc. 5000, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2021. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent as of Dec. 31, 2024. Companies also had to report at least $100,000 in revenue in 2021 and $2 million in 2024.
