Natural Grocers to Close Arbor Walk Store in Austin

Natural Grocers will close its Arbor Walk location in Austin, Texas, on Sept. 30, 2025, following unsuccessful lease renewal negotiations. The store, located at 10515 N. MoPac Expy., has been in operation since 2010 and is one of four Natural Grocers stores in the Austin area.

Storewide closing sales will begin on Sept. 2, offering 25% off all items, including body care products, dairy, meat, produce and supplements. All sales will be final.

Kemper Isely, co-president of Natural Grocers, expressed disappointment over the closure but emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to its customers in the Austin area. “Austin has always held a special place in our story,” Isely said. “This decision allows us to focus on strengthening our presence across the Austin area and beyond.”

Lakewood-based Natural Grocers is also working to support its employees during the transition by identifying potential job opportunities at nearby locations or providing transition packages, which include severance and continuation of health benefits.

Customers can continue to shop at nearby Natural Grocers locations in Cedar Park, Georgetown, and North Lamar Blvd. after the Arbor Walk store closes.
