Vail Resorts Reveals 2025/26 Winter Opening Dates

Vail Resorts Inc. has reported the target opening dates for the 2025/26 ski season across its North American and European locations, along with new attractions for guests this winter. The Epic Pass is available now at its lowest price through Sept. 1, allowing access to Vail Resorts and additional destinations.

Keystone will kick off the season as early as mid-October, with other resorts in North America and Switzerland following suit throughout November. The season is expected to extend to May at certain locations, such as Breckenridge and Whistler Blackcomb.

Target opening dates include:

  • Mid-October: Keystone (CO)
  • Nov. 7: Breckenridge (CO)
  • Nov. 14: Vail Mountain (CO)
  • Nov. 15: Gemsstock (Switzerland)
  • Nov. 21: Heavenly (CA), Northstar (CA), Park City (UT), Whistler Blackcomb (BC)
  • Nov. 26: Beaver Creek (CO), Crested Butte (CO)
  • Nov. 29: Crans-Montana (Switzerland)
  • Dec. 5: Kirkwood (CA), Stevens Pass (WA)

Vail Resorts will also implement enhancements this season, including new experiences and events across its resorts, such as the 60th anniversary of Whistler Mountain and the introduction of the Sunrise Gondola at Park City. New technology in the My Epic app will also elevate the Ski and Ride School experience for families.

New developments are on the horizon, including the opening of the Kindred Resort at Keystone and various milestone celebrations across resorts in North America and Switzerland. Notable events will take place, including the Birds of Prey competition at Beaver Creek from Dec. 4-7.

Furthermore, Vail Resorts will offer discounted tickets through the Epic Friend Tickets program, which allows pass holders to share lift tickets at half price with friends. Various Epic Pass options are available for purchase, providing access to over 90 resorts worldwide, and new features aimed at enhancing guest experiences are being rolled out across the resorts.
