Viega North America has officially opened its new manufacturing, distribution and training facility in Mantua, Ohio, as part of its North American expansion strategy. The 244,000-square-foot facility represents a $178 million investment in the region and will create approximately 68 new jobs over the next two years.
The facility incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies and aims to strengthen Viega’s ability to deliver products more quickly. Marki Huston, CEO of Viega North America, emphasized the commitment to sustainability, stating, “The future of our environment and industry hinges on the commitment that we make today in sustainable manufacturing.” The facility is designed to be carbon-neutral and is targeting LEED Gold certification.
By increasing its presence in Ohio, Viega aims to contribute to the local economy and foster partnerships with local organizations. “Viega’s decision to expand in Northeast Ohio not only brings jobs to the state but helps build a resilient economy,” said Matt Dolan, CEO of Team NEO.
