Trimble Inc. has initiated the process to obtain Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization for its construction management solutions. This move reflects the Westminster company’s goal to provide a secure and connected platform for U.S. federal agencies and their contractors.
The initiative focuses on three key solutions: a common data environment, a construction project management tool, and an asset lifecycle management suite. By pursuing FedRAMP authorization, Trimble seeks to create a secure environment for managing project data and workflows, which is crucial as federal agencies modernize their infrastructure.
“As federal agencies continue to modernize their infrastructure and construction programs, they require solutions that not only increase efficiency, but also meet the most stringent security standards,” said Mark Schwartz, senior vice president, AECO software at Trimble.
Trimble will partner with Coalfire, a cybersecurity and compliance firm, to assist in the authorization process, ensuring that its solutions can meet the necessary security controls of FedRAMP.
This initiative highlights Trimble’s aim to support government agencies with innovative solutions for capital improvement projects and digital project delivery in the construction sector.
