Wheat Ridge Announces 2025 Business Award Winners

The City of Wheat Ridge held its 21st Annual Business Appreciation Awards Breakfast, honoring local businesses for their contributions to the community. The event featured distinguished guests, including Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen, and local leaders gathered to celebrate the achievements of Wheat Ridge businesses.

This year’s Business of the Year award went to Sweet Ridge Studios. Other award recipients included 7 Brew, Clancy’s Irish Pub, Colorado Plus, Grammy’s Goodies, Hampton Inn, Intermountain Medical Office Building, Renewal Wheat Ridge, Starbucks on Wadsworth, and T-Birds for the Investment Award, recognizing significant property improvements. The Sustainability Award was awarded to Sustainabilt, while Anteak Booteek received the Cultural Commission Award for its contributions to local arts and culture.

The Foothills Regional Housing Authority was recognized with the City Council Partnership Award. Paige Piper received the Mayor’s Partnership Award, and Kathleen Martell was honored as the Connected Citizen. Jacob Heeren of Strategic Partner Financial Group won the WRBA Rising Star Award, and Lowery Burnett from Fountainhead Commercial was named WRBA Member of the Year. Vectra Bank was recognized as the Wheat Ridge Chamber Business of the Year, while Intermountain Health was named Non-Profit of the Year, and Shaun Pearman from Pearman Law Firm was awarded Volunteer of the Year.

Economic Development Manager Steve Art remarked on the importance of community support, saying, “It’s truly inspiring to see our community come together to celebrate the innovation, hard work and dedication of our local businesses. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners.” Nominations were submitted by residents and local businesses, with selections made by a team of business professionals.
