
Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation (Jeffco EDC) has announced the finalists for the 4th annual Gateways Awards, honoring individuals and initiatives that contribute to economic vitality and community impact across Jefferson County. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, November 5, at the Social Capitol Event Venue in Arvada.
Presented by JE Dunn Construction, the event aims to gather business leaders, educators, public officials, and community partners to recognize impactful contributions to the county’s success. The evening will include networking, dinner, and the presentation of awards celebrating collaboration and innovation.
“The Gateways celebrate the people and organizations who elevate Jefferson County and those who innovate, collaborate, and make a lasting difference in our community,” said Tony Giarratano, Chair of the Jeffco EDC Board of Directors. “This year’s finalists truly reflect the best of Jeffco’s spirit and drive, from entrepreneurs who are redefining what’s possible to partners who strengthen our local economy through education, sustainability, and leadership.”
Finalists include:
- Project of the Year: Lockheed Martin, Astro Digital Clayworks
- Sustainability Project of the Year: Austere Environmental
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Ohm on the Range, Freedom Trax
- Community Partner of the Year: Red Rocks Community College, Jeffco Schools Foundation
- Making Good Happen Impact Award: Terumo BCT
- Policy Champion: Mayor Bud Starker, City of Wheat Ridge
- Jeffco Leadership Award: Retired Chief Don Lombardi, West Metro Fire Protection District
