FirstBank, one of the nation’s largest privately held banks, has announced a $50,000 donation to several local food banks in Colorado. This donation comes as food banks in the state are facing increased demand amid rising costs and reduced assistance for families since the pandemic. FirstBank announced in September that it will be acquired by PNC Bank in early 2026.
“This donation will help nourish our community at a time when we are seeing so many people in need of support,” said Amy Pezzani, CEO of Food Bank for Larimer County.
FirstBank COO Kelly Kaminskas emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting families and community organizations. “During this giving season, we’re proud to support food banks and community organizations working to ensure every household has access to food and essential resources, especially at a time when they’re most needed,” said Kaminskas.
In addition to the $50,000 donation, FirstBank is also providing monetary gift cards and other support through its “Acts of Goodness” program to customers experiencing ongoing economic hardship. The donations are aimed at several food bank and hunger-relief organizations across Colorado.
