Exabeam Launches AI Behavior Analytics for Security

Exabeam has announced the launch of a new AI-driven system designed to enhance security operations by integrating analytics for AI agent behavior. This development responds to the growing concerns organizations face regarding AI usage, which includes issues like sharing sensitive data and bypassing internal policies without adequate oversight.

The latest release builds on Exabeam’s existing user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) by incorporating tools for analyzing AI agent behaviors, facilitating a comprehensive investigation of AI activities, and improving security posture related to AI usage. Enterprises can now better understand, detect, and react to the actions of AI agents within their operations.

“Securing the use of AI and AI agent behavior requires more than brittle guardrails; it requires understanding what normal behavior looks like for agents and having the ability to detect risky deviations,” said Steve Wilson, Chief AI and Product Officer at Exabeam. The integration of these capabilities aims to provide security teams with important insights to identify risks early and strengthen their defenses as the adoption of AI increases.

Exabeam’s CEO, Pete Harteveld, emphasized the need for businesses to govern AI agents responsibly to maximize their transformative potential. He noted that the company’s new tools offer crucial insights into AI behavior and help ensure security postures are adequate for safe adoption.

Industry analysts believe that oversight of AI agents will become an essential area of focus for security by 2026, indicating the significance of Exabeam’s position as a pioneer in AI agent behavior analytics. This launch seeks to address an evolving need in enterprise security as businesses increasingly rely on AI in their operations.
