Kaiser Permanente is set to open its new Lakewood Medical Offices on January 20, 2026. This facility will significantly upgrade services for over 36,000 members who count on these offices for primary care.
Located at 8301 W. Alameda Ave., the new three-story building will feature advanced technology, larger exam rooms, and will double the capacity of Kaiser Permanente’s busiest urgent care center in Colorado. The original Lakewood Medical Offices have been in operation since 1972.
“As a physician and a leader here at Kaiser Permanente, I’m excited for what this new building makes possible,” said Greg Berman, MD, interim president and executive medical director of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “A more comfortable, technologically integrated exam room space and new collaborative areas will help our teams deliver care even more effectively for our current and future members.”
Mike Ramseier, president of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado and senior vice president of health plan markets for the organization, added, “Lakewood has been part of Kaiser Permanente’s story for more than 50 years, and these new medical offices reflect our commitment to continue growing with this community.”
The new offices are notable for their environmentally-friendly construction methods, which have reduced landfill waste by nearly 70% and transportation emissions. They are also targeting LEED Gold certification and will include various sustainable features such as solar power, all-electric systems, and water-efficient fixtures.
This initiative represents Kaiser Permanente’s largest brick-and-mortar investment in Colorado in 15 years, further solidifying its commitment to providing high-quality, coordinated care to its members.
