Coastline Academy, the US’s largest driving school, announced on February 5, 2024, its expansion into Denver by acquiring the Arvada Driving School. Long-serving owner, Ben Pyatt has recently retired, thus allowing Coastline to step in and keep the school operational. The school’s instructors and their close relationship with the Arvada community will be retained amidst Coastline’s rebranding process.
Coastline’s Co-Founder and CEO, Nigel Tunnacliffe said, “We are truly honored to be inheriting this location from Ben. Although we are a national school, maintaining a local approach has always been a main pillar of our operations.”
The company plans to modernize the newly acquired school through their technology platform, retaining the long-standing professionalism of the institute while enhancing its service offerings. Originating from California, Coastline has expanded into thousands of cities in seven states and is known for offering both in-person and online DMV-certified Driver’s Ed courses. Their objective is to train students beyond basics, instill a safety-first mindset, and increase accessibility with free home pickup services.
