Vail Resorts’ Keystone Resort Chosen for 2025 NBS Summit

The National Brotherhood of Snowsports (NBS), in collaboration with Broomfield-based Vail Resorts, has selected Keystone Resort as the venue for its 2025 Annual Summit. This event will bring together 58 member clubs and thousands of supporters worldwide for a week of winter sports activities. Slated to run from Feb. 22 to March 1, 2025, the summit aims to raise funds to support NBS’s mission to increase participation in winter sports and support athletes of color in international competitions.

“We are excited to return to a mountain owned and operated by Vail Resorts,” said Henri Rivers, president of the NBS. He stressed the significance of the annual summit and praised Keystone Resort for its exceptional service, spectacular views and diverse options for snow sports activities, making it an ideal location for their event.

About 1,500 individuals passionate about skiing and mountain activities will be convening in Colorado for the NBS summit at Keystone, chosen for its accessibility from Denver International Airport and its apt terrain for skiers and riders of varied skill levels. The summit will feature both on-site and off-site programs, including tours, clinics, game nights, après parties, concerts and the event’s signature parade.

“At Vail Resorts, we are guided by our core values, including to Be Inclusive. NBS has been an instrumental partner to our inclusive access programs,” said Kenny Thompson, Jr., chief public affairs officer for Vail Resorts. Nadia Guerriero, senior vice president of Vail Resorts’ Rocky Mountain region, added, “NBS has been critical to leading and cultivating a more inclusive future for winter sports, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them next year and showcase everything that makes Keystone such a special place.”

Keystone Resort is located in the White River National Forest of the Rocky Mountains and is the largest ski area in Summit County, Colo. Known for its skiable terrain spread across three peaks, it now features the new Bergman Express chairlift, offering an approachable high-alpine skiing experience with the highest green trail in the U.S.

Last winter, Keystone worked with NBS under Vail Resorts’ Epic for Everyone Youth Access Program to increase outdoor recreation access and inspire a new generation of skiers and riders. Last season, Vail Resorts hosted over 11,000 youths across 32 resorts through funding from the Katz Amsterdam Charitable Trust and partnerships with more than 100 nonprofit organizations.

The NBS, established in 1973, has more than 58 clubs throughout the U.S. and around 7,500 snow sport enthusiasts who gather annually for the NBS Black Summit. This large gathering supports the NBS Olympic Scholarship Fund in accomplishing its mission to identify, develop, and support athletes of color in winning winter sports competitions on an international level.

Vail Resorts operates a network of premium destination and close-to-home ski resorts across the world, including Vail Mountain, Breckenridge, Park City Mountain and more.
