Graham Corp. (NYSE: GHM), a New York-based designer and manufacturer of mission-critical technologies, announced it has been awarded three contracts totaling over $65 million. These contracts cover products for the defense and space industries.
The new contracts include providing the MK19 Air Turbine Pump assembly for the Columbia-class submarine and cryogenic recirculation pumps for space launch vehicles. Additionally, Graham secured another option year for supplying alternators and regulators to support the MK48 Mod 7 Heavyweight Torpedo program.
The company received the second option year award for the MK48 Mod 7 Heavyweight Torpedo program in the first quarter of fiscal 2025, ending June 30, 2024. The contract for the MK19 Air Turbine Pump was awarded in the second quarter of fiscal 2025 ending Sept. 30, 2024. The cryogenic recirculation pump contract was also awarded in the second quarter.
Manufacturing for these contracts will take place at Graham’s Arvada operations. Graham acquired Arvada-based Barber-Nichols in June 2021. Revenue from the contracts will be recognized over various periods, with the MK48 Mod 7 and cryogenic pump contract revenue spanning the next three years and the MK19 program revenue over the next eight years.
Matthew Malone, vice president of Graham Corp. and general manager of Barber-Nichols, said, “We believe the investments we have made in our engineering and operations to expand our capacity and increase our capabilities to serve the defense and space industries led to our being awarded these contracts.”
