Ball Corp. (NYSE: BALL) has acquired Florida Can Manufacturing, an aluminum can manufacturing facility located in Winter Haven, Fla. This acquisition aims to strengthen Westminster-based Ball’s supply network in North & Central America and enhance its capacity to meet growing demand for sustainable beverage packaging in the region.
The facility in Winter Haven supports Ball’s strategy to improve operational efficiency and simplify sustainability for its customers by offering scalable aluminum packaging. “Integrating Winter Haven into our operations allows us to further strengthen our manufacturing network and continue driving operational excellence,” said Ron Lewis, Chief Supply Chain & Operations Officer. He added that leveraging Ball’s expertise and the facility’s capabilities will enhance efficiency and flexibility.
Ball’s strategic location in Winter Haven is expected to improve responsiveness to customers, optimizing the supply chain. Kathleen Pitre, president of Ball Beverage Packaging North & Central America, noted that expanding U.S. can production enhances Ball’s ability to meet customer needs reliably.
