Gogo, Airbus Partner to Enhance Connectivity for Corporate Jets

Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO) and Satcom Direct have finalized a multifaceted Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus to develop cabin connectivity experiences for operators of Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ). The MoU focuses on utilizing Gogo’s Air-to-Ground (ATG), FlightDeck Freedom and Gogo Galileo satellite connectivity solutions to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband internet to ACJ operators.

Once confirmed, the joint effort will allow Airbus’ ACJ Connect Link customers to access ATG and Gogo Galileo Half Duplex (HDX) and Full Duplex (FDX) terminals, which will be offered as retrofit options for all Airbus ACJ models. Additional services will include cybersecurity, crew training and 24/7 customer support.

Broomfield-based Gogo will also supply electronically steered antennas, powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb Low Earth Orbit constellation, which is noted for delivering enterprise-grade aviation solutions. This technology will ensure minimal downtime for equipping aircraft, enabling quick access to high-speed cabin connectivity and inflight entertainment.

Airbus will work with its partners to certify terminal integration and obtain Supplemental Type Certificates for HDX, FDX and ATG installations. Following final contract signatures, Airbus will lead the marketing and sales efforts to enhance the connectivity offerings for ACJ operators.
