
A new report has ranked Jefferson County’s public companies based on their revenue for fiscal year 2024, offering a snapshot of the area’s diverse and dynamic economy. The ranking includes 17 companies from a variety of industries, reflecting the breadth of business activity across the region.
Together, these companies generated $38.66 billion in revenue during fiscal year 2024, a modest dip from the $39.48 billion reported in 2023.
Molson Coors Beverage Co. claimed the top spot with $13.7 billion in revenue, followed by Ball Corp. at $11.8 billion. Level 3 Parent, LLC rounded out the top three, bringing in $6.5 billion.
Other significant contributors include Vail Resorts Inc., which earned $2.9 billion, and Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Inc., with $1.2 billion in revenue. DMC Global Inc. also made the list, reporting $642.9 million for the year.
Among the 17 companies, six reported revenue growth over the previous year, eight saw declines, and three reported no revenue at all.
The standout performer was Energy Fuels Inc., a Lakewood-based uranium mining and energy firm, which saw its revenue skyrocket by 106%—from $37.93 million in 2023 to $78.11 million in 2024. This marks a staggering 4,605% increase over five years, up from just $1.66 million in 2020 during the height of the pandemic.
On the other end of the spectrum, DMC Global recorded the sharpest decline, with revenue falling 10.61% year over year.
The report highlights the significant role these companies play in shaping Jefferson County’s economy, demonstrating both the challenges and growth opportunities within the region’s evolving business environment.
