PharmaJet Partners with Egyptian Authorities for Immunization

PharmaJet Inc. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority and EVA Pharma to explore needle-free delivery of vaccines in Egypt’s routine immunization program. This agreement was formalized during the African Health ExCon health care conference held in Cairo on June 26.

The collaboration aims to integrate needle-free technology for administering the inactivated polio vaccine, improving accessibility and safety for children. The MOU covers distribution, technology transfer, manufacturing and the development of new pharmaceutical products, enhancing immunization efforts both in Egypt and across the region.

The partnership is set to reduce total immunization costs, with reporting indicating potential savings of over 38% over six years. The Egyptian UPA seeks to widen its immunization portfolio, improve pandemic preparedness, and strengthen public health systems.

Highlighting the benefits of this collaboration, EVA Pharma’s director of global commercial & corporate development noted, “This collaboration can transform immunization by making it safer, more accessible and less painful for children and caregivers.”

Golden-based PharmaJet’s technology has been recognized for its effectiveness in past campaigns, showing high acceptability rates among health care workers and fewer adverse events compared to traditional needle methods. This initiative is also aligned with Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance project and emphasizes the importance of early childhood development.
