Ur-Energy Inc. has appointed Jade Walle as vice president of finance. Walle brings extensive experience in corporate finance, capital markets and financial reporting in the mining and energy sectors. This addition aims to enhance the company’s leadership team as it expands its uranium recovery operations in Wyoming.
Roger Smith, CFO of Littleton-based Ur-Energy, expressed enthusiasm about Walle joining the team, stating, “We are very pleased to welcome Jade to the Ur-Energy team. His financial expertise and strategic leadership will be vital as we continue to build our team and prepare for the next phase of growth.” Smith noted that the newly created role signifies the company’s commitment to strengthening its finance organization for future success.
Walle previously served as an audit partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 2011 to 2024, where he advised energy and mining firms. His background includes significant roles in capital markets and accounting across several PwC offices. Walle is a certified public accountant (CPA) and is involved in community initiatives focused on financial literacy and support for underserved youth.
This strategic appointment comes as Ur-Energy prepares for growth, particularly with plans to enhance operations at its Lost Creek facility and to bring the Shirley Basin site online in early 2026.
