Colorado Christian University Reports Record Enrollment for FY2025

Colorado Christian University (CCU) has reached its highest enrollment in institutional history, reporting 17,415 students for fiscal year 2025. The figure marks a 106% increase over the past decade and the fifteenth consecutive year of growth for the university.

The largest share of students — 8,681 — are enrolled through the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS), also known as CCU Online. The program serves students in all 50 states, with 99% of learners taking courses online. Graduate program applications rose 11% over the previous year.

The College of Undergraduate Studies, based at the university’s Lakewood campus, enrolled 1,495 students, including 421 first-time freshmen. Retention rates remain high, with 93% of students returning from fall to spring and 80% of freshmen continuing into their second year.

Enrollment in CCU Academy, the university’s dual-enrollment program for high school students, reached 7,264 — up 177% over 10 years. The program serves students in 46 states, with over 85% living outside Colorado.

CCU attributes its sustained growth to continued demand for flexible, values-based education. The university maintains an average class size of 13 and a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1, supported by 139 full-time and 547 affiliate faculty members.

The student body is 63.5% female and includes representation from all 50 states, 65 Christian denominations, and 35% ethnic minority students. Approximately 77.5% of students reside outside Colorado.

Founded in 1914, Colorado Christian University is a private, nonprofit liberal arts institution that describes its mission as providing Christ-centered education rooted in evangelical tradition.
