CCU Appoints New Provost

Colorado Christian University (CCU) has appointed Dr. David Corbin, Ph.D., as its new Provost, serving as the university’s chief academic officer. With over 20 years of experience in Christian higher education, Dr. Corbin aims to enhance CCU’s academic direction.

Dr. Corbin previously held the position of Dean of the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at The King’s College, where he played a key role in doubling enrollment during his three-year tenure. He later served as Provost and Interim President at Providence Christian College, leading the institution through a significant transition period.

His teaching background includes courses in political philosophy, American politics, international relations, and more at various institutions, including the University of New Hampshire and Boston University. Most recently, he worked as an Executive Partner at Exemplar Advisors, focusing on educational initiatives and improvements.

CCU President Eric Hogue expressed confidence in Dr. Corbin’s leadership, stating, “He is a thoughtful academic leader whose life and work reflect a deep commitment to Christ, truth, and the formation of students for faithful service.” Dr. Corbin echoed this sentiment, recognizing the opportunity to strengthen CCU’s mission of Christ-centered education.

Dr. Corbin holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from the University of New Hampshire and a Ph.D. in political science from Boston University. He will officially begin his role on Monday, March 9.
