Ball Corp, an aluminum packaging company headquartered in Westminster, ranks No. 1 with an estimated workforce of 10,416 employees. Following closely behind is Trimble Inc., a technology juggernaut also based in Westminster, boasting 5,114 employees. Securing the third position is Terumo BCT, a Lakewood-based medical equipment manufacturer with 2,101 employees.
Other key players on the list include Sierra Space Corp., standing at the fourth position with 1,630 employees. DMC Global Inc. ranked fifth with 1,474 employees. Finally, Viega LLC, ranks sixth on the list with a workforce of 807 employees.
In aggregate, these 104 manufacturers collectively employ 27,000 individuals around the world, forming the cornerstone of Jefferson County’s economic vitality. Moreover, as of June 4, these companies were actively recruiting for an additional 2,200 positions across the globe.
According to the latest industry data compiled by the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation, the county’s manufacturing ecosystem comprises more than 500 companies and provides employment to approximately 20,000 local workers.
