A new ranking highlights public companies in Jefferson County based on their 2024 net income, showcasing the area’s economic strength and industry diversity.
Ball Corp., based in Westminster, tops the list with $4 billion in net income—a notable 465% increase from $711 million in 2023.
Coming in second is Molson Coors Beverage Co., with dual headquarters in Golden and Montreal. The company reported $1.2 billion in net income, up 21% from $956.4 million the previous year. Notably, Molson Coors and Ball Corp. held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on last year’s list, respectively, swapping places in 2024.
In third place is Vail Resorts Inc., headquartered in Broomfield, with a net income of $246.3 million.
The list includes 18 companies and spans a wide range of industries. Manufacturing tops the list with five companies, followed by four in the food and non-durable retail sector. Other key industries represented include utilities, mining, oil, and gas (three companies), as well as telecommunications, industrial valve manufacturing, and technology, each contributing two companies.
Other notable performers include Gogo Inc. with $35.3 million in net income and Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Inc. with $33.9 million. CPI Card Group Inc. rounds out the top six, earning $19.5 million.
