Lakewood-based EDCON-PRJ Becomes Subsidiary of Sanborn

The Sanborn Map Company, Inc. has announced the expansion of EDCON-PRJ’s capabilities following its integration into Sanborn’s operations. This move enhances Sanborn’s geophysical surveying services and provides EDCON-PRJ customers with improved technical capacity through Sanborn Geophysics.

EDCON-PRJ has been recognized for 56 years in land and marine gravity and magnetics services for petroleum and mineral exploration, with over 40 years in airborne gravity and magnetic surveying. The integration aligns EDCON-PRJ’s reputation for precision and reliability with Sanborn’s mission of delivering leading data and analytics.

As part of Sanborn, EDCON-PRJ will gain access to a national aircraft fleet and advanced sensor platforms. The integration will enhance its data-processing and AI analytics capabilities and increase its capacity for large-scale programs in various sectors, including natural resources and infrastructure.

“This integration significantly expands the tools and technologies available to EDCON-PRJ’s long-standing client base,” said John Copple, CEO of The Sanborn Map Company. “Combining Sanborn’s advanced aerial and sensor capabilities with EDCON-PRJ’s deep geophysical expertise creates one of the most comprehensive airborne data platforms in the industry.”
