SHF Holdings, Inc., known as Safe Harbor, announced the appointments of Tyler Klimas and Sean Tonner to its Board of Directors, expanding the board from five to six members. The changes took effect on April 22, 2026.
Klimas will hold positions on the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, serving as Chairman of the latter. Tonner will join the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, also as Chairman of the Compensation Committee.
Richard Carleton has opted not to seek reelection at the upcoming annual meeting. His departure was confirmed to be unrelated to any disagreements with the company. Safe Harbor expressed gratitude for Carleton’s contributions to the board.
Both Klimas and Tonner bring extensive experience to their roles. Klimas, the founder of Leaf Street Strategies, has a strong background in cannabis regulation. He has also held significant positions, including as the first Executive Director of the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board. Tonner, as Managing Partner at Fulcrum Group, has advised governments and corporations globally and has a history of working in prominent political roles.
This expansion in leadership is noteworthy as it strengthens Safe Harbor’s ability to navigate the changing regulatory environment and enhances its strategic communications as the company grows within the cannabis industry.
